These are required for the site to function — keeping your cart contents, your cart’s region, and your cookie choice itself. They are set automatically and cannot be switched off, because without them the store does not work.

Analytics and advertising cookies

We currently set no analytics or advertising cookies at all. If we add one — for example a conversion-measurement tag once we start advertising — it will load only after you accept it in the banner, never by default.

Why we ask, when US law does not make us

US law does not require a site to ask permission before setting analytics cookies; that is an EU rule. The US model is opt-out, and California goes furthest by letting you opt out of personal information being sold or shared for advertising across other sites.

We ask up front anyway. Nothing non-essential runs until you accept it, which means there is nothing to opt out of after the fact. We also do not sell your personal information — see our Privacy Policy.

Changing your choice

You can accept or decline in the banner, and change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s cookies and site data in your browser, which brings the banner back. Declining does not affect the essential cookies needed to use the store.
